The team at Sandy Straits Marine are leading the way with innovative boat building designs, which incorporate a unique basalt fibre in the layup. Basalt fibre is extremely light and immensely strong, which means the overall weight of their boats is quite surprising.
Currently, David and his team are concentrating on the construction of two boat designs. A 7.3m Power Catamaran designed by Noah Thompson, a well known boat designer. And a 4.5m Tri Hull Whaler which is a incredibly stable fishing platform.
